Yet another story about Bush III, oh, excuse me, John McCain showing his true colors before the election.
Republicans are out of touch with the American people and America itself. They have no idea how this country is doing, they are secluded behind a wall of political protection that blinds them from the truth. If you want this country to continue it's one-way track down the toilet then by all means vote for this asshole.
If you want this country to go in another direction then vote for someone else.
A mistake happens once. To repeat the same "mistake" again shows one's true character.

I think they know exactly how this country is doing and I think they are fine with it. I think your last line "A mistake happens once. To repeat the same 'mistake' again shows one's true character." truly makes the point. That all this mess is not a "mistake", it's their intent.
John McSame certainly seems to be mastering the Bush method of handling things. Just keep making the same lie till enough people believe you.
Um, Bush is keeping the same lies and no one believes him.
I think they are so far removed from the reality of how Americans are living that they have no idea their lies are so easily exposed.
Yes, no one believes him NOW, but that's the strategy they used to get Iraq started... and it worked.
What people have FINALLY woken up to now doesn't matter. It's what people believe in the moment.
I'd like to think that Americans, by and large won't buy into McSame's Bush-style lies; that they've been inoculated somehow by the previous starin of Republicon falsehoods.
I didn't think they could fall for it last time, but they did. I see no reason to have faith that the American populace won't get conned again.
You and I and most of the people we know are smart enough to know that what these guys are saying are lies. But most Americans just eat whatever fecal-substance is spoon fed to them on the TV. Just before the start of the Iraq war something like 40-50% of Americans believes that Iraq worked with Al-Qaeda on 9/11. Completely untrue. But Bush used Iraq, Al-Qaeda & 9/11 in the same context, in the same breath over and over. And it worked.
Why wouldn't they try the same again?
