Poor Obama

Lieberman calls Obama Young, Untested

Do you know what he really means? Obama hasn't been around long enough to be corrupted by lobbyists, special interest groups, and old school politicians serving their own self interests. How is this a bad thing? I don't know about you, but I've had enough of the old boy's club. This country is totally fucked, thank you very much, and if it takes a young, untested person to straighten it out then I am alllllll for it.

Throw in the fact that it will be really nice to have an intelligent person in office who can speak well (brilliantly in Obama's case but i would have settled for "well")

After 8 years of the driveling idiot we have now who struggles to string together full sentences and has trouble with multi-sylabic words.

Add in the fact that when Obama recently went abroad, people freakin loved him. Wouldn't it be nice to have a president that wants to get along with our allies? Especially after having Bush who has trashed our reputation so badly, he can't go to any country with out drawing huge protests. With McCain running on Bush policies, our reputation won't change in the world.

Obama's policy on Iraq is to get out. What do the Iraqi's want? For us to get out! Even the Bush administration is talking with the Iraqi government (with extreme reluctance) about a time line for withdrawal (though Bush calls it a "time horizon" because a time line somehow equals defeat).

Seems like everyone concerned is more or less on board with Obama's plan except McCain/Pallin.

McCain may have experience in spades, but his judgment is crap. Fat lot of good all that experience does.

McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time and he's saying Washington is broken and he's going to clean things up. Dude! If you helped "break" Washington (90% at least) then why the HELL would we trust you to fix it?!

Best Obama quote on this issue from his acceptance speech:
"But the record's clear: John McCain has voted with George Bush 90 percent of the time. Sen. McCain likes to talk about judgment, but really, what does it say about your judgment when you think George Bush has been right more than 90 percent of the time? I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to take a 10 percent chance on change."

Anyhow... nice post, thank for letting me bounce my riff off of it. Hope you guys are doing well!
